GadgetPC is now released.  

It comes with pre-installed Linux and supports many standard applications such as Web Server, FTP Server, Telnet Server, OpenSSH, Firewall, Router, Network Time Server, Email, Fax Server and many others.

It is a low-cost, low-power replacement for PC\'s in many applications.

Very good! I also liked the idea to offer a development kit. Can\'t wait to receive mine :-)

By the way, is the source code for the Linux kernel and the USB peripherals (e.g. webcam) available online? Thanks.

All software is open source, including drivers.

We support few different webcams, a webcam server and a program that detects motion and starts recording.

Got mine but don\'t have an ethernet device yet (didn\'t realize how few devices were supported) and am not able to connect with the console port. Are there documents on connecting to the port? I have not found anything but mention that it can be done.

Well, so far I have not been able to connect to the device. The best I have so far is a light on the board when I connect it to USB port but no connection through USB Serial or wireless. I assigned a static IP but can\'t connect using a web browser or FTP. Guess I\'ll keep reading until this forum heats up a bit.

as the 1st step please connect an RS232 adapter to the board.


Then we can look at Linux log to detect the problem.

About wireless connection.
Note, your wireless network has to use WEP
