the clock in my 14yr old car is a VFD display and i\'d like to give it a face lift! i\'d like it to be red. the stock filter is faded so i plan on getting a new one. from my limited research, it seems that red output from a VFD is not a common thing. it looks like my two best options are:
-gray circular polarized filter with lots of red plastic behind it (would i really need this much polarization?)
-red normal polarized filter to change the green vfd display to white, then additional red plastic to change it to red.
im sure you guys dont get these questions much but i figured it would be best to seek out the correct forum to ask this question in
any thoughts/comments/suggestions or thoughtless ramblings both welcome and greatly appriciated!
