Communicating to the outside world?

OK, I thought I would start my own thread rather than tag on others. With the help of vitaliy I have been able to connect to the gadgetpc on the serial port and load linux. I can see the file system but not connect to the outside IP addresses or connect to the GPC from my router or other computers. Where do I go next or is this device just not going to work for me?

Is there a way to make the GadgetPC connect to the wireless network without WEP, WPA or any other (NONWorking for me) protocol? I need to be able to connect the GPC to the rest of my network or, failing that connect my network to the GPC. So far neither can see the other and this is getting frustrating. Sorry.
