download error

I just recieved a MinMax51/c with the optional T89C51RD2 processor (40mhz).  I\'m trying to download a test program to the device and I\'m getting errors.  This is the loader readout:

  T89C51Rx2 DETECTED ON MM51C BOARD
  Trying 115200 baud...
  (etc. all the way to 4800 baud)
  then I get:

  ERROR: T89C51Rx2 not detected on MM51C board
  NOTE: Please check T89C51Rx2 on MM51C board
  Error downloading \'lcd.hex\'.
  Error downloading lcd.hex to target board, ec=2143

I get the same error with the DOS loader.
Using the WinLoad loader there seems to be no option for the 40mhz CPU so I get a frequency error.

The Micro-IDE that comes with this package contains a loader ( MINI-MAX/51-C Loader ) that automatically recognizes the microcontroller type on the board and adjusts the baud rate for fastest download possible.
