General Description
These breakout boards bring all 25 pins of a DB25 connector out to screw terminal blocks for easy connection and prototyping work. They are available with both male and female connectors. The BRK25M has a male connector and the BRK25F has a female connector. Each pin is also brought to solder pads (4 per pin) at 0.1' spacing, allowing easy addition of standard pin headers.
These break out boards are perfect for experimentation and prototype work, as well as for use in the educational laboratory. These boards are useful in working with National Instruments data aquisition cards, CNC equipment, and any other device that utilizes a DB25 connector. A breakout board is sometimes referred to as a 'transition module', 'terminal board', or 'interface module'.
For mounting on a panel, we suggest the rubber feet version (-FT), 1/4' nylon standoffs under the mounting holes, and #6 screws.
The BRK25M (male connector) includes a few features for use with our These breakout boards are available with either a Right Angle connector or a Straight ('Vertical') connector. The terms Right Angle and Straight refer to the connector itself, NOT the relationship of the mating cable to the PCB. In fact, the cable mating to a Right Angle connector is parallel to the PCB, while the cable mating to a Straight connector is perpendicular to the PCB. These are pictured below:
DIN Rail Mount VersionThese products are also available with DIN rail mounting clips for quick and convenient mounting where DIN rail is used. Product numbers ending with -DIN come with DIN clips already installed and ready to mount. The clips allow mounting on standard 35mm rail as well as 32mm rail. Right Angle Connector
